Spray ti keep catepillars and beetles off very young fruit trees??

I have two 4 ft cherry trees which were planted this spring. Bugs are feasting on the few leaves and I want to give the trees a fighting chance. We are going to surround the upper part (limbs) with tulle (thing tutu material) which we hear bugs don't get thru.

Other ideas for sprays??

I have successfully used Neem Oil to rid my roses of Japanese Beetles. I find it works better, if I add a little Dawn to the mix. It helps the Neem to stick better.

One of the highest rated is by BAYER for fruit trees. You can purchase it at Lowe's. They have others but this is number 1.

Little Farmer's secret here: beetles like potatoes. To keep beetles off of fruit, your best bet is

      A. Pressure wash the tree regularly.

      B. plant potatoes by taking all your potato peels to the garden and bury them less than 3" down.

Thus, 'a full bug don't eat much' is your DIY solution.
