If the minerals in the water have done permanent damage (etched marks into the glass) there isn't a whole lot you can do. Half vinegar and half water. Wipe it on, leave it for several minutes and then rinse. For water spots on the metal rim, a citrus oil (like lemon or orange) can work wonders.

We used to live in a house that had very hard water. Keeping our shower doors clean was near impossible. I tried several different products until I found one that worked. It's called CLR. It does cost a little more, but well worth it. The trick to using CLR is to let it set 10 or 15 minutes. Then rinse and wipe clean with a soft cloth. The result is remarkable. Best wishes.

Spray down heavily with white vinegar (not diluted) and let sit for at least an hour then wash as normal and the spots will likely be gone. Then, treat your doors with RainX, yes, like you use on car windshields! The water just sheets right off and no annoying spots. You'll need to treat the doors again whenever you clean them, but in between they should look great!

I like using Magic Erasers. They work great for me.
