Hi. Oh that's not good to hear. Taking up the tile is just a messy job. Smash and clean up. You'll need to use as many power tools as possible. Try a rental shop for a demolition jack and purchase a thinset removal bit for your power drill. It sounds like you've got foundation issues. Be sure and get it fixed correctly and don't just do a patch job. Good luck.

I got rid of the ceramic tiles here with a hammer, a chisel and a scraper. Took no time at all. Smash the tiles, a few at a time, into little pieces, brush those bits out of the way. Most of the grout and concrete will likely break up too. Use chisel and hammer to loosen and still firm bit, and the scraper to make the base smooth again. I did an area about 8 x 10 in a couple of hours

Below is what I have to go through 3 weeks back , our tiles were moving as you walk and making noise,some were cracked. We had to remove them and put new ones. The process is so messy and so dusty thou, make sure u cover each and everything because the dust is just too much . You going to have to clean up everything and wash everything when you done. By your photos I am guessing that yours is just tile removal which depending on the adhesive used could be easy (pop right up) or the tile will need to be broken first and then pried up. I found that one part of tile removal that is over looked is how to get rid of it. We picked up a dumping permit and dumped everything at one time. Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to 1 or 2 free dumping permits a year. Check with your local municipality. Due to weight we filled storage containers that had a handle on each side and two people could carry it to the truck. Gather old buckets etc and keep the old tile in those containers so when you get to the dump you can empty each container at the dump. You can get old buckets at donut shops because the donut fillings comes in buckets. We made the mistake once of just dumping debris into the back of the truck and then shoveled it out at the dump (you are also handling the debris an extra time). That was a big mistake because it took forever to clean up the truck bed and driveway. It spread the dust and small debris everywhere. Good luck with your flooring project.

When you start working, turn off your air conditioning fan first. That will help with not spreading the dust. Also get some plastic drop cloths from the dollar store and put them up in your doorways with painters tape to cut down on the dust.
