You could add a back to them and turn them into trays, add chicken wire-use it to hang jewelry, turn them into shelves, or paint one a new color and frame a favorite picture!
I would paint them in fun colors and create a gallery wall. You could fill the frame with photos or scrapbook paper: http://momhomeguide.com/scrapbook-paper-art-gallery-wall/
We have a local artist that uses perforated metal as inserts to hang jewelry.
My Daughter in Law painted about 10 miscellaneous frames white and hung them on a wall.- looks great as art.
Here are tons of ideas to go with the sage ones above.

Make unconventional wreaths, make some pockets on a piece of material and put it in the frame to hold pens, papers, etc, you could use wire or twine and hang smaller pictures inside or hold sunglasses. You could make serving trays or candle plates (put a mirror or glass in it then set candles on it) draw/paint a saying you like with nice colors and frame it
I put a piece of white paper under the glass, bought dry board pens and it’s now a pretty way to make notes, display menus and so on.
I take it you are talking about picture frames? If so paint different colours and make an abstract structure on a bare wall will look fantastic.
