While we love to enjoy the warm summer weather ,bugs and insects are a consistent summertime pest. Here is a great homemade candle to keep pests away . These candles are fun to make and most effective.
Here's what you will need
1) jars
2) Oils- lavender, orange, eucalyptus, cedar
3) orange skin, sprigs of rosemary.
4) water
5) floating candle
That's it!
Gather your materials and get ready to go!
How to make
1) Fill jar 3/4 full with water.
2) Add oils- 10 drops of each oil and swirl gently. The smell will be beautiful.
3) Place a sprig of rosemary in jar. We have two lovely plants of rosemary in our back garden.
4) Place lemon and orange peel in the jar and add water to raise the level to almost full.
5) Place floating candle on top and light the candle.
And you are all done! How lovely is that smell? And this works great!
6) Replace candles as needed.
7) Never leave candle unattended and be careful with children
I have one candle for outside and one inside. When I lit the candle the smell of the oils are beautiful.
