I would leave one of those refrigerator baking sodas in your car for a while to eat up the smell. I found this article that might help you - https://www.hunker.com/12347040/how-to-kill-mold-on-car-interiors
Hi CIndy, I would try carpet cleaner (the really hard core stuff for pet stains) and follow the instructions on the box. If you have a garage, leaving the windows open at night will help a lot too.
Hi, Cindy,
Was your car flooded? Try putting a larger container of Damp Rid (available at home stores, grocery, etc) inside the car, and another one in the trunk. Put baking soda on the rugs and upholstery. Let sit overnight, then vacuum thoroughly. Spray the upholstery with vinegar. Wearing a mask, rub it into fabric and rugs. If in fact your car was flooded, you may need professional assistance.
Plain old white vinegar will kill the mold spores.
