What can I use to take hairspray off bathroom sinks?

    Comet or some such product. Put the powder on and let it sit... may take a few scrubbings. Also, alcohol breaks down hair spray but I wouldn't use it unless your sink is non porous.

      Thanks Maggie B. I've tried alcohol and it does work pretty well. Just takes a lot of scrubbing. I was hoping somebody had a "magic" formula.

    I would use hot water with Dawn dish soap first. If that doesn't break it down, next try scrubbing your sink with some baking soda. If that still doesn't work try rubbing alcohol to break it down.

    I would use regular hair shampoo and a battery charged hand held scrubber and a lot of patience.
