A good friend ah her grandmas wee table of course now antique. She did all the hard work stripping and sanding the old finish off but yearned for a new fun update that would work well in her home.. see how I gave it the update she thinks grandma would have loved ...
here is the sweet little antique table just begging to have a makeover
I applied Homestead House milk paint in midnight blue, a deep classic navy in two coats over the entire piece. Milk paint is perfect for these type of pieces as they are very fitting of what may have been used then however the classic navy color is a gorgeous addition to todays home.
once the 2 coats were applied and dried I sealed it with Fusion Mineral paints black wax which enriched the color even more and sealed for a silky smooth finish.
the table is now ready for years more service and the friend could not be happier with the outcome. She is sure grandma would be most pleased with the new look.
I love the detail they added to pieces years ago and this gorgeous color enhances it to its fullest potential. Agree??
