How can I paint a large entertainment wall to a marshmallow cream?

I have ordered new doors that will match my island but now I have the daunting task of painting this entertainment wall to match the marshmallow cream doors(which is a tinted paint varnish). This is a laminate wall unit and I have heard many people say it can’t be done because it will chip, but then I’ve heard others say chalk paint, then some say have a professional do it.

Prior to adding our new floors

Keep Mirrors or not??

New floors! Now to get this to a rich and warm marshmallow cream!

I painted laminate kitchen cabinets in my daughter's home. We primed with Kilz. Then used an oil based enamel, two coats. Worked just fine and lasted well. I also painted wooden cabinets (in another home) with Chalk paint. Lowes or Home Depot can mix to match the color you want. IF you use chalk paint, it will need some sort of protective coat (polycrylic water base is good) Good Luck!

I would get rid of the mirrors. They really date the piece. You can cover them with peel and stick wallpaper, contact paper or paint. Since you will have items on front of them, this is a really great chance to bring in a pop of color or pattern without it overwhelming the room.

Make sure they are clean and dry. Lightly sand to remove any gloss. Prime with Kilz primer then paint your color.
