Do you Spray Paint a Cement Bear?

Or, do you use some other kind of pain? It is painted black now, but it needs re-doing???

    You can spray paint it but it would be a temporary fix. It will eventually flake and peel. My in laws have two concrete bears and their spray paint redo didn't last that long enough though the bears are located under pine trees away from hot sun. Here's an article about painting concrete/cement. This might be a longer lasting fix.

    i redid my outdoor water fountain. I, first prepped, sanded and used an exterior paint- made for concrete and patios.

    The prep is the most important part!

    it turned out beautifully. Has held up through a hot, wet, humid Florida summer and still looks brand new!

    You can, Connie, pretty easily. Clean the bear thoroughly. Spray paint it with black enamel as a primer. Then spray paint it any other color you choose. You can add distressing, painted features, hairy details, or whatever you can imagine. You could present the bear as rustic, or add costumes for the seasons and holidays.
