Interior doors too short after installing new flooring. Doors are hollow core raised panel painted white. Gap between bottom of door and floor is 1" to 1-1/4". Any ideas other than replacing all doors?

Try using some sort of molding

Hi! Lowe’s and Home Depot sell metal kickplates that can be screwed into the base of the door to take up the slack. If this is an inside door, you may want to go the molding route. 😁

It might be called threshhold molding, it will raise the area from the floor up probably 1/2" or so, probably not as much as you wished, much higher might create a stumbling hazard. I have seen this done in granite and wood, in fact we have this as a transition between the hallway which is parquet wood to the bathroom which is ceramic tile.

Is there any decorative trim you can attach to the bottom of the door, maybe to accent or complement your decor?

The answer might be a blend of these 2 suggestions.

    Good luck to you.

Sometimes you can get a door extension - basically a piece that connects to the bottom of the door. You could also make one and then screw to the main door. They look like a slide on box.
