Most vinyl companies have coordinating caulk to match the color of the vinyl. It won't make the hole disappear but it will keep out rain and snow. Check with your big box home renovation stores or even a building supply store. Even Amazon might be a way to go. I would squirt some onto a paper plate and use a plastic putty knife to fill the hole and scrape off any excess caulk. Good luck with your vinyl siding project.
