How do I help my garden come back to life after a hail storm?

My garden was heavily damaged in a hail storm. Will it help the plants to come back if I add fertilizer and if so what product would be best?

The fertilizer you use depends on the type of plants you have. Take some pictures and ask the local garden center for some advice. Plants are resilient and they may look a mess right now but in a few weeks they’ll be right as rain.

Begin by removing any damaged parts of plants. Try to keep root systems intact. Fertilizer will help feed your plants whether they survived the hail storm or not. I use manure as a fertilizer. You could also make manure tea by putting manure in a bucket and add water. Let it set for a day or two. Then strain out the manure and use the water on your garden. Works well.

Oh wow, that's awful! However, you're plants will recover. Yes, they would benefit from some TLC, but most of all just be patient. More than likely they'll be fine in a few weeks. Good luck!
