Wasps or hornets building combs in crevice on front porch?
I have two pretty active wasp combs or hives on each side of my front porch. What is the best way to get rid of them without getting hurt/stung? I fear that just poking the hive with a stick will get me stung. Thank you.

I use wasp spray. I can stand far enough way to spray the hives, and after the wasps are dead I knock them down.
I saged mine then blasted with the hose. My house has really good water pressure. They were too stunned and disoriented to come after me, but I caught them as they were starting to build their home. Just be careful, suit up, wear eye and ear protection and a mask.
Hello Michael, I agree with above, the bee and wasp sprays are effective for the management of visable nests. They spray quite a distance, please read the product labeling carefully and wear protective clothing as advised on the label.
I always keep a few cans on hand in the garage.
Best wishes on your elimination efforts!
