Question about lamanate flooring
I have vinal flooring that I didn't completely remove that's not straight cut but torn. Will it show thru my lamanate and underlayment if installed on top of this ?
It depends if the new floor has a pad behind it.then it shouldn’t you could put a pad down to cover that
Thank you
It is best if you can remove all of it so you get a nice level setting for the new floor. Here is an article that might help - https://www.bestlaminate.com/blog/can-i-install-laminate-flooring-over-tile-or-linoleum-flooring/
Your welcome and good luck with your project. :)
No. Laminate is designed to float.
I would think that you need to have a level surface under you laminate and underlayment. If the flooring just has a few places, and it's not thick, it should be o.k. However, if you can remove it, that would be best because the laminate doesn't give .
It might level out.. Best to remove it though.. Might cause problems later!!
Thanks for the info
