What type of fence could I hide the litter box behind on a screen porch?

you could use lattice or pallets
You can take a large plastic tote/bit--the kind you buy for storage with a lid--and turn it upside down over your litter box. Then cut a door in it so the cat can go in and out. Whether or not you cat will not be scared to go in and out is something yo will have to figure out. Some cats are fearless--some are not!
