How to replace a mailbox with a low budget?

We have a very old, weatherbeaten, wooden stake with metal mailbox. It looks awful. Looking for ideas on the best ways to replace on a budget with folks like my husband and me who are not extremely tool-savvy!

Keep checking with Habitat for Humanity ReStore. They have all types of things donated and would be the least expensive place to pick up a new or slightly used mailbox. Putting up a mailbox is easy - there are plenty of U-tube videos explaining how. I'd watch a few as each seems to emphasize a different hint. I'm 73, and would not hesitate to install a mailbox. You CAN do it!!

You can make a mailbox out of a retro bread box. Paint with rustolium pain and seal it well.
