Hi Jeri, transitioning any surface or another type of surface can easily be done by using the same color palette. So, if you want to leave the patio the concrete color, use the same tone of grey on your decking. What happens is, logically you know it's a different surface, but the same color tricks the eye into seeing it as a continuation with no breaks. It's therefore very pleasing. Happy DIY'ing!
