My mom had one that the face was nice, but the frame was ugly. We painted it. She has another we're going to try to remove the front plastic piece, spray paint the body (not the arms) and see how it looks.

I have one like this in the basement. That way I can see what time it is if I am down there!

If the face is also plastic carefully drill a hole in the middle of each number, carefully spray paint the surround and face. Find a set of buttons suitable for purpose for example cars, sewing buttons, doll buttons, shell buttons eat. Replace number with buttons through the hole and secure on the back. This way you can theme it to any subject and renew if you suddenly want the buttons you are using. If button selection in your area is poor then go internet hunting. There are loads of button websites. Good luck whatever you choose to do 😃🕑🕖🕛😃
