I have a Milescraft set. It comes with the templates in 1 inch and 1-1/2 inch letters and numbers. There is also a jig to hold the letters, clamps, and bushings for the router bits. It has worked great for 15 years. There are kits from Rockler, Sears, Lee Valley, and others. Try a YouTube search for how people have made freehand router signs.
