How do you get rid of a trumpet bush?

    Hi,

    Cut it back to the root and either dig it up and transplant it somewhere else or kill the root by drilling holes in the base of the vine and pouring Epsom Salt in the drilled holes. If the vines are too small to do that, then cover the cut back vines with black plastic or a can to block the light.

    Begin by cutting the bush back. Then you can pour diluted vinegar or rock salt on what's left. Either method is effective and inexpensive. Best of luck to you.

    We have this too.

    It sprouts up feet away from the tree. It grows like weeds!

    I keep the big tree trimmed and pull the others out all the time.

    Rock salt should kill it too.
