We took out a harvest gold shower stall and had the tile guy put tile all the way to the ceiling. We had to take it down to the studs and we had to get a building permit. We are tearing out another bath and taking out the 30”x30” shower. That bathroom is having everything moved around. We are also doing tile but you could use cultured marble or even real stone in large thinly cut wall portions. Depends on your budget...

Tiling it would be cheaper, buying new plastic walls would be easier. I think i would do tile. It would look better and it would be fun to do!
