My best friend puts baking soda and then vinegar down hers. It bubbles up and cleans it out. I use Simple Green in my sinks and drains as it deodorizes and disinfects too. Hope this helps.

If it is the side of your sink with the garbage disposal then the rubber splash guard gets dirty on the back side. Take a cleaning cloth, sponge, or brush and wipe the back side of the splash guard until it is clean.

Do you have a garbage disposal? Usually they are the culprit for oders from the sink. Get a round sink brush and brush around the sides and as far as you can get down in the sink opening. If you do or don't have a disposal, pour some baking soda in the sink, then white vinegar, then some more baking soda. Let it sit for about an hour then rinse well. That should take care of the smell.
