Rototiller, a hoe, landscape fabric and mulch. dandelion puller.
You can spray whiter vinegar on weeds. It can be diluted with water and have a few drops of dishwasher soap added to help it stick to weeds. Or spray it on full strength. 2 gallons at Costco is cheap.
Better to pull them out by hand after a good rain. They will remove much easier when the soil is wet root and all.

There are all kinds of recipes for homemade killer and some of them work, but the best way to get rid of weeds to to hand pull them. Once you have your garden all cleaned up, apply a thick layer of shredded wood mulch to keep the weeds down. Good luck!
