You may want to add amendments to your soil. Also try to remember if years ago if the space they are planted in has changed . Is there more or less sunlight ? Are they receiving adiqute water or maybe too much? Is the bed they are planted in crowed or not draining well? With time the landscape changes , trees grow up & other plants get bigger.
Hi! Our hydrangea was becoming all woody branches when we first moved here. So we cut it back after it was done blooming, the little that it was. The next year it started blooming better, and whenever we notice it getting too straggly, we cut it back once the blooms are done.
Appreciate the tips. will try the methods.
