Any clever ideas to repurpose all or part of this wooden paper towel holder? (The blue tape is safeguarding the screws.)

Hello, you could use it for ribbon or tape.

You could use it to hang kitchen things on it with S hooks, hand towels, hot pads, mitts, pots, pans, any number of uses if you use it like a mini hanging area. That is what I would do with it.

  • You could hang jewelry and necklaces from the dowel

You could use as a towel holder in bathroom. Cut off handles and glue dowel in with wood glue. Use handles as pegs to hang clothes, by drilling hole in back side & screw to a another piece of wood, or use a two ended screws.

Hi, Druzon! I love an open ended question. Of course, the base needs repainting, and the holder, too. 1. You can move the holder to the garage or shop or garden shed to use with heavy duty or shop paper towels. 2. You can use the holder as a display rack for antique tablecloths or other textiles. 3. You can change out the handles to hold an old rolling pin. 4. You can hang big hooks over the bar from which you can hang work tools, garden tools, car tools, bbq tools, heavy kitchen tools, plumbing tools, And so forth; you may want to change the bar to an iron rod. 5. Paint it for a child’s room. Add 4-5 colored bungee straps from which the parents can hang stuffed toys or jackets; older kids can hang sports equipment like catcher mits, ribbons for hair clips, or hooks for purses and scarves. 6. Speaking about scarves, the rod would make a great scarf rack, with big hooks for coats and hats, and a board on top for hats and gloves. Paint it to match the foyer. Best wishes to you, ☺️

If you have children visit, cut a roll of brown wrapping paper in half and load the roll onto the holder for them to do "artwork" either using crayons or chalk.

    -Necktie holder.

    -Dog leash holder.

-Mini hang up/hanger bar in a laundry room, mounted under a shelf, or mounted on a low ceiling, such as in a basement.

-Screw cup hooks into the rod. Hang bull-dog clips on the cup hooks, then clip on to wet mitts for drying.
