I would get your soil checked to see if it needs to be amended to make it healthy to grow grass. You could think about making paver paths, lead them to and around raised gardens and put down gravel or stones on the rest. Make sure to put in seating areas, patios, etc. so that you can enjoy your new yard that will not need mowing. All that you will need is a blower to clean up and a hose to rinse everything off.

Make sure you are watering the grass seed a lot and you can use straw over the grass seed, so it doesn’t blow away or get eaten by the birds!
