I went to the explore projects up at the top of the window and clicked on garden. That has a number of shelving ideas and hanging herb planters that may work for you. How big is the sill in the window? That kind of determines how you would go about planting your herbs. If it is deep enough, you could put the pots on the sill, if not you could use a hanging system to hang the pots or have hanging shelves to put the pots on. Whatever you do, make sure you have something in place to catch water drips from the pots or watering spills. There are many places in the explore projects that will help you decorate the pots, also, so that you don't have to look at plain pots all the time. If the herbs get real leggy, or not real green, you may have to supplement the light with a grow light.

Thank you for answer. I don't have shelves. I was putting my pots on my kitchen table to get sun light.

A grow light might be your answer.

You can try a home improvement store (e.g. Home Depot), at a box store like Meijer, perhaps at a nursery. Check online and search for "grow light" and your city. Online lighting places might have them, too.

Sally, the big box stores like Home Depot have grow light that will work, just ask someone in the lighting section and they can help you with what you need. Our home depot in Rochester, MN has a garden employee that cares for all the houseplants that is extremely knowledgeable on anything plants, and lighting they need, perhaps you can find someone who can help you understand the best way to get them the lighting they need. With a grow light, you will be able to put your herb pots wherever you want them in your house, even the basement!
