Go to your paint store and they can direct you to the correct paint product for that application!
Haven't seen that stuff in years. I would paint it with Krylone or Rustoleum Plastic paint. I would clean it very well first with an ammonia based cleaner. Mask off the floor and areas to prevent overspray with plastic sheeting and masking tape/painters tape.
You could also cover it with bead board or some other wainscoting if its the bathroom walls. Just add firring strips of wood to the edges and then add your sheeting by screwing into the firring strips.
