Water won't go through the hose of the dehumidifier- help?

  • Does the unit need to be cleaned? That is where I would start first.

    Make sure it is not kinked or blocked inside. Remove it and clean it, then test by running water from faucet through hose to see if it is clear. I had a dehumidifier that required me to remove bucket and pour down drain. There was a hose connection, but it may be factory sealed requiring you to punch out the plug.

    Algae can build up after a while. It is est it you unplug the humidifier, remove the tube, and clean it out. If you can’t remove it hook á shop across up to the tube, seal the connection with tape, and suck out the blockage. If that doesn’t work blowing into the tube will clear it but it just forces the junk back into the unit.
