How do you "foil wrap" beach glass or raw gemstones? I have seen this look everywhere, even on coasters. I love it, and need to know how to make it!

Pam Hi, The idea shown is what people make for stain glass. Your copper is too high. There are different sizes depth wise. They need to fused together. Some here have borders that are too big. You only need to come up the sides, and not fold in. Try your local craft store, for all the items you need.

The foil comes in rolls and is adhesive backed. You place on item and evenly press the sides around the item. You take a pencil, or wooden chopstick and press all edges tightly to the item you are putting it on. the corners will smooth nicely when you do this. I do not believe the items pictures have foil that is too big, it is just not smooth. You then "tin" (solder) the edges with 60/40 or 50/50 silver. The color can be changed with different patinas.

Before you can foil the glass it has to be ground on the side for the foil to stick well. I would use hand tools to prep the glass for foiling
