    Crystal,

I am in Zone 7 and it is well past the planting of these and I doubt it will make it through the winter. Why not put it in a pot and bring it in for the winter.

I use resin pots because they are easier to handle.

When the temps begin to lower, start acclimating by moving it to a shaded area for a few days before bringing it in or putting it in a protected basement. Be sure and water it through the winter.

Hello, Hibiscus thrive in the heat so now is not a good time for seedlings as they are so vulnerable. I live in ohio and I had one in the house for 3 years before I took it outside in a pot. It had gotten really big though. I would wait til the end of spring beginning of summer.
