What color and style lamps would be best for me?

Jdh, you need a pop of color! Lamps are a perfect way to infuse your earth tones with a blast of it, without spending a lot of money. Pick your color from a pillow or painting you own, or a favorite blanket or rug. Something that ties the lamps in with other things you own and contrast nicely with your brown/earth tone furniture.

Add a color. Do you like orange gold maybe shades of green or oatmeal or cream? How about an area rug or runner and pillow for the couch. How about a light wood end table

I would do a lighter lamp to brighten up the couches and flooring. Maybe a light tone wood color or white. I have a round up of some of my favorite lamps, if you want to get some ideas :)

Keep in mind that a lampshade in any colour other than white will cast light not as bright, and slightly different shade as compared with a white shade. Using an LED lightbulb will help to reduce this, but it will still be darker than plain white.
