I hate the musty smell after days of rain. My house smells like the middle of the forest in monsoon season.

We’ve been dealing with a musty smell in our cottage/mobile home with great success! Do you have a dehumidifier? That will make the biggest difference. Also try running any exhaust fans that take moist air outside. And as crazy as it sounds - kitty litter can absorb moisture and odours in the air. :)

Sure, Carrie! I just bought a big box of kitty litter and poured it into some plastic containers. Then I tucked them into closets, in cupboards and under beds. I shake them every once in awhile to keep them fresher. And then I replace the litter when it seems like it isn’t working as well. :)

There is a product out there called Damp Rid. I know it helps with situations like this. It maybe could help. It’s not expensive either :) You can buy it at Walmart for a really good price. Hope this helps. 🌸 M

Running your A.C. in addition to the dehumidifier being set to no more than 40% should work. If you have a ceiling fan, set it to operate counter clockwise, and use it simultaneously with A.C.

Give it at least 3-4 days if the musty smell is bad. Keep an eye on the humidity in the house. Anything over 50% invites dust mites, mold, mildew.
