Floor or walls? Either way, tile is best if it is laid on cement backerboard. Using screws, affix the board. Plan your layout. I prefer to use the pre-mixed thinset. Apply to the board and then begin laying your tile, using spacers for even layout. Most say begin in the middle but I never do. I pop a chalk line and go from there. Add your mortar, and clean with a wet sponge. Seal the joints.

If you are wanting to just put a few for decorative purposes, affix with power grab.

Hi Darnell, I need a bit more info to advise you best. But I can say for sure that you will need outdoor rated tile. Most tile is not rated for outdoor use.

    What is your subfloor?

if it’s concrete, it just needs to be cleaned of all dirt, mold or mildew first. If it’s a wood deck, you will need to put outdoor rated cement board down first. Then coat it really good with outdoor red guard or other water barrier. Then just apply tile as you wish.
