I have a sun room that has Mexican tiles for the floor. Over the years some of the grout has disappeared. Would like to know the easier possible way to add grout and clean the tiles. I’ve attempted a portion of it. I’ve thought about putting premixed grout into a ziplock bag cutting a hole in the corner and using it like a pastry bag.

You would need to remove old grout. Then you can put in new grout. Pastry bag idea is great. Especially for unsealed tiles.

if you wanted all the grout to look the same you would need to grout it all. You might need to take out some of the grout to do that & they make a took (looks something like a box cutter) for that. Scrap some of the grout out then apply the grout. I don’t know how the grout will react with the plastic bag but I believe they make a bag like you describe to apply grout. You will need to seal the grout afterwards.

thank you. I didn’t want to have to remove all the grout so your idea would make it much easier. I’ve done a small area like that prior to asking Home Talk

I haven't used it but this tool looks great and so much better than doing it manually like I did.

I've done this on other tile. As suggested by others, get a $10 grout remover. I would recommend going ahead with a float and sponge because using a bag with grout won't press the grout down into the cracks like a float does. Just be sure to rinse with a sponge until the water runs clear, then rinse Again.

Personally..... The grouting is the fun part of tile!
