How do I remove rust from an old milk can?
I was totally fortunate to acquire an old large medal milk can at a garage sale for only five dollars, I want to paint it and use it as a base for a table problem is it’s really rusty on the outside, without having to deal with a lot of elbow grease is there way to easily remove the rust from this beautiful milk can? Thanks June

I don't know where you live, but there are companies that do that fast and relatively cheap. Or you can rent a small portable sand plaster from a rental company, and silica sand. Take it out in the yard and blast away.
There are rust removers you can buy that either brush on, or spray on. One of the best though is good old ‘Naval Jelly’. It’s been around a long time and it works really well. You’ Still have to do some scrubbing, but not nearly as much.
