    and I would use the french drain and gravel behind your wall.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYV-umR9AdY the drain pipe holes go down on top of a layer of gravel and landscape fabric underneath.

    I’m not sure what exactly you have in mind, but perhaps you can stack them on end drill a hole in the tread section and bolt them together. One consideration though...old tires, whether placed on end or stacked, will retain water from rain, snow, and such. This water will become stagnant and it will be like a beacon to mosquitoes and other pests to come and breed. One more thing...snakes need water too!

    You can lay them on their side and stack like in this picture. I would use a construction adhesive like power grab to hold in place but it takes a couple of days to dry.
