I recently updated my guest bathroom, and now I need to do something with the tile.

We painted a couple of bathtubs with the RustOleum kit and it did really well. It should work on tile as well. You need a ventilator mask for the job and patience.

Vicki Here is a great website on painting tiles. https://remingtonavenue.com/2017/08/how-to-paint-shower-tile.html

I think this can be done and last if done properly. Certainly cheaper than replacing tiles. Make sure your tiles and grout are secure.

Annie Sloan paints and they will tell you what type of finish to protect the paint

NOT a good idea! I used the special kit from Lowes that is specifically for tile and tubs. Even though I followed the instructions very strictly, the finish was never smooth. It had a very slightly gritty feel, like a super fine nail file. After about 6 months the finish closest to, and in, the tub started getting soft, slimy, and gooey. Some of it went down the drain and caused plumbing problems. I tried to strip it off and ended up having to replace the tub and the first row of tile surrounding the tub. Lowes would not stand behind it.

There is a paint called Dureen Diamond Paint sold in Savannah, GA. We drove there for the day and saw how well it works, you can even paint floors. They will ship.
