My canvas portrait was ripped during our move. Is there a way to repair it?

I'm sure there is, but I'd take it to a professional photographer or framing place to see what they'd recommend. If it were me, I wouldn't trust myself trying to fix something that has that much sentimental value.

Thank you Nicki. That's what most people are saying.

Hi Rosie. If you're not familiar with working with glues, canvas and paints, please let this up to an expert. In the interim, store it on acid free tissue paper, canvas side down (if you have no animals, under a bed is a good place). That way the tear will not pull the canvas down further. Good luck.

Use an acid free white craft glue on the back of the tear...it will adhere the tear. Personally, I have used Duluth Tear Mender...you can find on Amazon or craft stores. If the tear is large, they also sell mending fabric tape as well. Hope this helps!

I agree. Take it to a framing shop. They have the proper materials and experience.
