Best candle and light batteries?

I love candles and string lights, but I'm forever buying batteries. Do you know if rechargeable batteries work in these products and some are the LED lights.

Rechargeable batteries are use in solar lights. They get recharged by solar panels daily. Use a good brand of alkaline or lithium ion batteries.

I have found that it is not so much the battery as it is the candle that you buy--I have tried several different types--ones carried by Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and Pier 1--they all needed batteries replaced way too often. I use Flamelesscandle.net candles. You can order from the site or you can get them at Bed Bath and Beyond. They carry a variety of sizes. If you use the timer on these candles, the battery lasts for at least 6 months. I have used generic batteries and brand name, so I think it's more in the product. As far as the string lights go, I haven't found the perfect one yet--the batteries need replacing often.

Hi Linda. You can use the rechargeable batteries. The charger will cost more at first but from what I have read it will save you tons in the long run.

Agree with Amanda. Small battery operated candles and similar decor items are notorious for 'eating batteries like crazy'.
