How do I fix the chrome or gold over brass at the stopper in the sink?
I have s gold colored stopper in one bathroom and a silver colored one in the other bathroom. Some one poured a chemical into the sinks to clean them years ago. The brass base metal shows on both. Is there any way to repair them or will they need to be replaced. They work fine, it’s just cosmetic. Thanks for any help.

Thank you for your help. I found out if I’m careful I can use the metallic paints. Carefully with lots of air circulation.
