Kelly does this help?

Put the rope thru the opening of the tire (where the wheel goes) tie the rope together. Hang the tire swing from the tree. Now you can plant in the opening between the inside of the tire. You will need to put rocks in for drainage or drill holes in the bottom (which depending on the type of tire you use might be hard). Hope this helps.
Hello Kelly,
Make holes in tire to take Rope and knot at base leaving some string hanging down. Then I would secure Tire to Frame or Tree to make swing. Cut out and line inside of tire base with Wire netting or Timber pieces laid across hole. Cover in Weed suppressant fabric or Plastic liner and pierce base for drainage. Fill with soil and then plant up. Have fun.......
