How do i create something from my CDs?

I have hundreds of old CDs. Would like to know ways of creating something useable rather than throwing them away. Thank you.

What I was thinking of doing is taking a post, your desired size, add fan blades at the top and sides to make a dragonfly. Than using nails putting all your CD on it. It will really catch the light in your yard.
