making your own, you want to be careful because milk will spoil and could end up smelling terrible. you only really need the milk proteins. I use Miss Mustard Seeds (dry powder that you add water to when need to paint). it is non-toxic and uses real milk proteins, Many other "milk paints" on the market only Look like it. Google shows the Martha Stewart way, and Bob Vila.
