Hi!! I have a window seat that is 4’ wide by 2’ deep. At the moment it is just painted white. I have two cats that shed so pillows or anything fabric doesn’t work. I want to redo it, but don’t have any good ideas. I was thinking of stone but not sure. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hi there.

You didnt mention in which room thwindow seat is. There are afew options that you could go for:

    1. Colorful tiles or pebble tiles
    2. Stained wood slats
    3. Marble slab
    4. Leather cushions - easy to just wipe the cat hair off

Hope this gives you some ideas

Thank you. The seat is in front of a huge window that looks out to the front street. Colorful tiles sounds good! Since the window gets a lot of light I don’t know about leather cushions, might fade the color.

I would stamp decorations on the white and them seal with polyurethane. How about decoupage? Cat pictures all over and then polyurethane.

Would stone be comfortable? How bout peel and stick tile or wood. If you don't need it as a seat make it a definite cat seat.

Thanks. Since the cats think it is theirs anyways...I guess I should just make it a car seat.

Leather or vinyl seat cushion or pillows.

How about a cushion with a removable cover to throw in the wash weekly. Consider a tough fabric like canvas. This way their set is soft and easy care.
