How to remove flies from home?

Big black flies are mostly in my bathroom. Have sprayed inside and outside all windows. They show up 7 to 10 at a time. I kill them and about 30 minutes there are new ones.

Most likely a place they have laid there eggs and are hatching, in a window that is old, have the same problem every year, seem I get a bunch of them for about two weeks then they are gone. I have old windows in my house so I'm sure they are getting in there some how and setting up house, hatch then getting in my house, drives me nuts. I kill a bunch then they are back within 15 minutes.

Thank you. That sounds exactly like what is happening.

    Hi there.

Pesticides have limited effectiveness in control of these flying insects, however some control can be achieved by a professional application of an insecticide to the south sun-warmed side of the structure before cluster begin to cluster on the walls in early fall, and an application of dust in wall voids can help to kill the flies before they can breed. Use YELLOW SODIUM vapor to reduce insect attraction.

I hop this is of help.

    Good luck.

Hi Kim! We have 8 horses outside so you can imagine the fly problem. We purchased a nifty product called “Fly Predators” from Spalding Laboratories. These are tiny little bugs that kill flies before they hatch. Just sprinkle the little critters in an area where there is dampness or manure, and the little guys dig down and find those fly eggs. When mature they fly 150 feet to find more fly incubators! They are actually teeny tiny little wasps that don’t bother people or animals. They just like to munch on fly eggs and have significantly reduced our fly problem.

Thanks for the info. I've never heard of Fly Predators but will definitely look into it.

Is your house on a crawl space, or do you have a basement. There is a place on the internet called Do Your Own Pest Control, and you can ask them and they will recommend a product to stop this, that has "residual" control. The one I bought, is safe after it dries to pets, humans, and can be used in food handling areas. AND IT WORKS. Even outside. It kills other bugs too. I bought it to control fleas.
