Paint it with an outdoor paint and top coat it with something like marine polyurethane for a lasting and durable finish, I would use multiple thin coats to give you a drip and brush stroke free finish.
You can make a cover for your mattress and cushions- fabric stores have outdoor fabrics, or find water resistant fabric shower curtains, to save money!

Make sure the wood or paint is sealed and the fabric is outdoor (I would probably scotchguard the fabric to be safe as well). Sounds fun!
