Hi Hele, here's a link to an article with instructions on how to build with brick. Think you could do the wood frame first insuring the measurements were correct for placing certain sized bricks within that frame work. Some calculating would insure you don't have to end up cutting the bricks, or at least only a few. Good luck with your project! I hope you'll post on Hometalk, I'd be interested to see it

Don't use wood supports as they will flex, rot, warp over time. The link janice provided is the proper way to do it.
