How do I get my fruit trees to bear fruit?

I have had 2 Peach trees and 2 plum trees for over 5 years. When I first got them one Peach had 2 Peach is on it, and one plum tree had about a half a dozen plums on it. Since then, they haven't. Born any fruit. What am I doing wrong?

Most fruit trees need to be planted in twos - one male and one female.

The trees may not be old enough. The reason they arrived with fruit on them is because they were sitting in a nursery amongst like trees and being pollinated. Once you take home and plant it is a different story. See if these sites help. You may have to hand pollinate or bring bees in to help.

  Thank you so much for your reply. I was thinking about getting bees thinking it is a pollinating issue. But maybe I have to learn how to prune them also. They're really bushy. Again thanks for your reply I will check out those sites.

  I do need help in my trimming and pruning. I thought I was doing a good job of My 2 Peach trees are extremely bushy and so is one of my plum trees. If you can give me any help on the pruning I would really appreciate it. I might have too many branches for my trees to produce fruit .
